Timing chips can be collected during race registration on the day of the event.
Buy a chip for R100, as part of your online entry payment (visible in your shopping cart).
Rent a chip for R30 with a R70 deposit with your entry (R 100 will be taken off your credit card during the entry process, and R70 will be returned to you on race day). This is only an option for your first event.
Timing chips can be collected during race registration on the day of the event. Find the designated area for your chip return at the race venue, to collect your deposit.
Athlete safety and security are key factors making up successful events such as the BSG Triseries. To achieve this, each race entry fee is required to include a day license fee (covering insurance and other liabilities) for athletes regardless of this being a TSA or non TSA event.
TSA registered athletes are however able waiver this amount and hence pay R20 less per race than the race fee (this will be indicated in your shopping cart after entering your valid and current TSA number during the race entry process). Please note that we need you personally to take responsibility for obtaining your TSA number and ensure that it is up to date and correct. This is very important, because if you are not fully paid up with TSA and somehow avoid paying the R20 day license fee for any race, you are effectively waiving any insurance cover and neither ourselves nor TSA will be held liable for any claims whatsoever. TSA numbers are in a format of PROV/XXXX/YY (e.g. KZN/XXXX/13) and are valid for the triathlon season that runs from the 1st September to the 31st August each year. This means the current triathlon season is from the 1st September 2012 – 31st August 2013 and thus only numbers that end with 13 (2013) are valid for the 2012 Triseries. All athletes have to re-register for the period 1st September 2012 – 31st August 2013 to receive a valid TSA registration number. In order to ensure that no unintended mishaps occur, we strongly recommend that if you are an official TSA registered athlete, that you provide us with this information during your BSG Multisport registration process, or you can always add this information later by updating your personal profile on BSG Multisport.
