BSG Multisport

The 2011 Triseries Challenge was proudly brought to you by the BSG Energade Triathlon Series in association with Discovery Vitality – in pursuit of healthier educational institutions and organisations. Together BSG, Energade and Discovery Vitality challenged all schools, tertiary institutions and corporates to take part and compete for the 2011 titles within the three categories: Top Corporate, Top School and Top Tertiary institution.

In order to qualify and ensure that points earned by all your athletes went towards your Triseries Challenge score, during the entry process each individual and/or team needed to indicate which schools/tertiary institutions or corporates, they belonged to. Both teams and individuals accumulated points towards their organisation/institution’s total score to win one of the Triseries Challenge categories at each race, as well as the chance to claim their respective overall series title.

Triseries Challenge is an additional and separate recognition process and participation is not compulsory, however all Triseries entrants are encouraged to enter their school, tertiary or corporate’s details so that while they are racing in their individual or team categories for position and prizes, they will also be earning points for their institution.

In 2011 all teams could look forward to the following:

• A specially allocated team area where you were able to set up your approved branded items, e.g. gazebos are available at each venue for those institutions entering in the BSG Energade and Discovery Vitality Triseries Challenge in 2011. As the number of sites is limited, you were given first preference as a TriSeries Challenger, with sites allocated on a first come first serve basis.
• Leaders in the school, tertiary and corporate categories were announced at each event and the overall category winners were awarded trophies at the end of the Triseries.
• A BSG Energade Triathlon Series race pack containing a swimming cap, water bottle and other exciting goodies!
• A world-class event sanctioned by Triathlon South Africa (TSA) ensuring uniformity and safety.

• The BSG Energade and Discovery Vitality Triseries Challenge is a great motivator to get your scholars, students and employees fit, which will inevitably improve their health and productivity.
• It's an opportunity to compete against rival institutions/organisations in a fun and challenging way.
• It's a great team-building exercise.
• It's an ideal way to relieve stress, reduce illness and promote an energised workforce.

• Each athlete belonging to a school, tertiary institution and corporate, whether competing in a team or as an individual, will accumulated points for their organisation or institution and were recognised in the respective Triseries Challenge categories at each race.
• The series Corporate, Tertiary and School TriSeries Challenge winners were awarded with a trophy.
• Points were awarded to teams based on the number of entries per corporate, tertiary or school. See the 2011 Triseries Points System information sheet for further details.
• To ensure that organisations/institutions received points, athletes needed to indicate the name of their corporate, tertiary or school during the online entry process.
