The table gives a rough four week training guideline to commence eight weeks prior to the first BSG/Energade TriSeries event. This will be updated in a few weeks to provide the full eight week schedule.
This is designed for the beginner who is moderately active and would like to complete a sprint triathlon in the 2011 BSG Energade TriSeries (600m swim, 20km bike and 5km run).
The programme will enable you to complete the triathlon comfortably. As race day approaches, we will post tips specific to racing and staying relaxed during the race.
The sprint triathlon will take you anywhere from 1hr to 1hr 45 minutes to complete. It can be completed as an individual or as a team.
Triathlon is a sport that is about variety and fun. Invite your partner and friend to train with you and achieve that 2011 New Year's resolution that you never got round to starting!
