Schools, tertiary institutions and corporates continued to rack up points at the penultimate event of the 2011 BSG Energade Triseries which took place in Worcester over the weekend. All contenders will be making a final bid to secure points at the upcoming final event in order to be crowned overall winners in the 2011 Triseries Challenge.

After six rounds of the 2011 BSG Energade Triseries, Deloitte still have a strong lead over their nearest rivals in the Corporate category. Investec gained significantly on Standard Bank (currently in second position on the leaderboard) – only 39 points separate the two financial giants. Business Systems Group (Africa) (BSG) has overtaken ABSA  who were in fourth position and with only 3 points separating them, the competition between these two corporates is heating up!

At the Brandvlei Dam event, the University of Pretoria increased their lead by adding another 33 points to their total score, putting them even further ahead of their nearest rivals, the University of Witwatersrand. Varsity College and the University of Johannesburg are still locked in fierce competition for third position on the leaderboard and it will all come down to the final event on the 4^th of December.

In the School’s Challenge, St Dunstan’s College took another chunk out of St Mary’s DSG’s early lead and now only 49 points separate the two schools – athletes from both schools will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that their school is named as the overall winner in the School’s Challenge.

The Triseries Challenge – brought to you by the BSG Energade Triathlon Series in association with Discovery Vitality – is a great way to build team spirit within tertiary institutions, schools or corporate organisations by taking on rival institutions/organisations in a fun and engaging way. Promote participation within your institution/organisation and improve the overall health and productivity of your students/employees.
