Race Registration Process
- The registration process allows athletes to confirm their presence, collect their timing chips (to be worn around the ankle) and receive a series race pack.
- A Spectrum Sport timing chip must be purchased as part of your online entry for a once-off fee of R100, unless you already own one. Alternatively, if you are planning to enter ONLY ONE of the races in the series, you have the option to rent the chip as part of your online entry at a cost of R100 (which includes a R70 deposit) which will only be refunded to you on the day of the race. So please don't forget to ensure you find out where the designated area is for your chip return at the race venue, in order to collect your deposit.
- All registered athletes will receive a free series race pack - please note that each athlete will receive only ONE series race pack, which will be handed to each athlete at the FIRST race venue they register at.
- Further details on the race start schedules for all categories, for each event in the series will be provided once the final race format has been decided, based on numbers of participants and safety requirements at each venue. However, the basic format for the event is planned to have registration opening at 6am, race briefing at 8am, with the first start (Elite) at approx 8:15am followed by the age groups in various start wave sequences. The Kids racing is planned to start between 10-10:30am, with their registration opening at 7:30am. Prize giving is scheduled to take place before 12 noon.
- The precise race day schedule and associated information will be posted right here on the BSG Multisport web site well in advance of the race day, so that all your travel and personal logistical needs can be met well in advance.
